Rational design of Ni‐based catalysts for methane dry reforming: Recent advances and future perspectives

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Addressing the challenges inherent in dry reforming of methane (DRM), this paper focuses on the structural design and performance optimization of Ni‐based catalysts. The modulation strategies for DRM are systematically reviewed across four dimensions: the micromorphology of active metals, metal‐support interactions, electronic modifications by ...

Dry Reforming of Biogas Over Li–Ni–Al Catalysts: Influence of Li Incorporation Method

open access: yesGreenhouse Gases: Science and Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogen is a promising source of energy, given the current context of depletion of fossil fuels and increased emissions of greenhouse gases. The technological route for obtaining this fuel from the dry reforming of biogas has received considerable attention from researchers, as it converts the polluting gases CH4 and CO2 into synthesis gas ...

A Shock‐Tube Study of the HCl + M →$\to $ H + Cl + M (M = Ar) Rate Constant Using HCl Laser Absorption Near 3.3 µm

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogen chlorine (HCl) is an important combustion intermediate during plastic (municipal waste) and composite propellant (aerospace) combustion, but the understanding of its high‐temperature chemistry is still evolving. In this study, the pyrolysis of 0.5% HCl in Ar was investigated behind reflected shock waves in a shock tube at temperatures

Prediction of Rice Husk Gasification on Fluidized Bed Gasifier Based on Aspen Plus

open access: yesBioResources, 2016
A biomass gasification model was developed using Aspen Plus based on the Gibbs free energy minimization method. This model aims to predict and analyze the biomass gasification process using the blocks of the RGibbs reactor and the RYield reactor.

A Bibliometric‐Based Review of Biochar for Salt‐Affected Soil Restoration: Mapping Research Trends and Future Directions

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In recent years, biochar has been studied for its range of applications. Recognized by the IPCC as a key Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) strategy, it also stands out as an important tool for reclaiming degraded lands, including vast global areas affected by salinity, such as those in China, India, and Australia.

Impact of Electrolyte Temperature on Solution‐Combustion Synthesized NiO/Ni Nanoparticles as Oxygen Evolution Reaction Electrocatalyst

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
Electrolyte temperature significantly affects electrocatalyst performance in water splitting reactions. Catalysts synthesized by solution combustion synthesis were evaluated for oxygen evolution activity at different temperatures. Elevated temperatures reduced overpotential and increased current density, reflecting enhanced reaction kinetics and ...

Super‐capacitive carbon materials with large micropores and rich mesopores synthesized using N, S co‐doped carbon dots as self‐templates

open access: yesResponsive Materials, EarlyView.
Nitrogen‐sulfur co‐doped carbon dots are employed as self‐templates to fabricate hierarchical porous carbon material with a concentrated micropore size distribution of 1.1–1.6 nm and a high mesopore volume ratio up to 47.2%, which shows good capacity and excellent responsive ability as electrodes in electrochemical supercapacitors.
