The Impact of Sustainability Orientation and Sustainability Challenges in SME Responses to Institutional Support

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT SMEs receive increasing institutional support to embed sustainability, yet they vary widely in their ability to translate such support into practice. This study addresses this gap by examining the internal cognitive and strategic mechanism (sustainability orientation) through which managers interpret institutional support and the contextual ...

Misfire Fault Diagnosis Method of Gasoline Engines Using the Cosine Similarity Measure of Neutrosophic Numbers [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2015
This paper proposes a distance measure of neutrosophic numbers and a similarity measure based on cosine function, and then develops the misfire fault diagnosis method of gasoline engines by using the cosine similarity measure of neutrosophic numbers.

Characterization of Performance of Short Stroke Engines with Valve Timing for Blended Bioethanol Internal Combustion

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
The present study provides a feasible strategy for minimizing automotive CO2 emissions by coupling the principle of the Atkinson cycle with the use of bioethanol fuel. Motor cycles and scooters have a stroke to bore ratio of less than unity, which allows

From Green Governance to Biodiversity Strategy: The Role of Environmentally Experienced Directors in Chinese Firms

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how directors with environmental protection (EP) backgrounds influence corporate biodiversity concern (BIO) among Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2008 to 2023. Drawing on Upper Echelons Theory, we argue that directors' environmental expertise shapes firms' biodiversity strategies.

Fueling Tomorrow: Scenario Planning for the Future of Gas Stations

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Transport electrification is reshaping the service infrastructures that mediate everyday mobility, yet most electrification scenario studies remain macrolevel and offer limited insight into how incumbent forecourt (gas‐station) networks can adapt under deep uncertainty.

Internal Carbon Cycles in the Steel Industry: Pathways for CO2 Management and Carbon Capture Utilization

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
The steel industry accounts for about 7%‐9% of global CO2 emissions. While H2‐based direct reduction is a long‐term route, near‐term solutions are needed for existing plants. Internal carbon cycles reuse steelworks off‐gases and by‐products, enabling circular carbon use and supporting CCU integration.
