MTZ worldwide, 2005A FVV project at the chair for combustion engines of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern was accomplished where modern catalysts in realistic conditions were tested. Thereby, the focus was on the mechanisms of catalyst aging, in particular to the catalyst deterioration.

The aim of this study was to perform performance and emission analysis in a spark ignition engine by adding different ratios of Phthalocyanines additive to gasoline fuel. In this study, PH10, PH20 and PH30 blend fuels were prepared by blending fuels containing 10 %, 20 % and 30 % phthalocyanine by volume with pure gasoline, respectively.

Crack analysis of a gasoline engine crankshaft
2010In this study, failure analysis of a crankshaft was carried out. The crankshaft made of nodular graphite cast iron was used in a gasoline engine. The cracks propagated axially on surface of the 4th pin journal. Microscopic observation was conducted on the surface of journals.
