Gastric Heterotopic Pancreas Mimicking A Submucosal Tumor: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Gastric heterotopic pancreas (HP) often mimics submucosal tumors like GISTs on imaging. Multidisciplinary integration of endoscopy, EUS‐FNA, and histopathology is essential to avoid misdiagnosis. For symptomatic HP, minimally invasive resection is curative; asymptomatic cases require long‐term surveillance due to malignant potential.
