Gastric and duodenal cutaneous fistulas
World Journal of Surgery, 1983AbstractForty‐seven patients, 18 with gastric and 29 with duodenal cutaneous fistulas, managed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation between 1956 and 1976 are analyzed. This is done with the intention of defining factors responsible for increased rates of morbidity and mortality.

Gastric and small bowel fistulas
The American Journal of Surgery, 1969Abstract Fifty-five cases of small bowel-cutaneous fistulas are presented. The majority of these are iatrogenic, resulting from failure in surgical technics. Morbidity is excessive with long complicated hospitalization. Early aggressive surgical intervention, particularly in lower tract fistulas, provides the best cure rate.

Gastric emptying in rats with chronic gastric fistulas
The American Journal of Digestive Diseases, 1969A technic for studying gastric emptying using phenol red test meals in rats with chronic gastric fistulas was shown to yield valid and reproducible data. This method has the advantage of utilizing a chronic, unanesthetized, unrestrained animal, which may also be used to study gastric secretion.

Influence of a Jejunal Fistula on Gastric Emptying
