Ultrasound Demonstration of a Benign Gastric Ulcer with Gastric Outlet Obstruction

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Gastroenterology, 1994
A benign antral gastric ulcer in an adult causing gastric outlet obstruction was demonstrated by ultrasonography. The extent and benign nature of the ulcer was suggested by ultrasound before gastric surgery was performed.

Gastric ulcer and gastritis [PDF]

open access: yesGut, 1971
The gastritis associated with chronic gastric ulcer has been studied by means of biopsy specimens taken under vision through a fibreoptic gastroscope from four standard sites in the stomach. Observations have been made in patients with untreated gastric ulcer and also in patients after medical or surgical treatment of the ulcer.

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

Use of a Molecular Signature Response Classifier to Inform Treatment Selection Improves Clinical Disease Activity Among Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis Initiating a Biologic or Targeted Synthetic Disease‐Modifying Antirheumatic Drug

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We assessed the effectiveness of PrismRA to improve clinical outcomes among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) initiating treatment with a biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD). Methods PrismRA incorporated 19 gene expression features and four clinical features to assess a patient's likelihood of
