Gastrodia elata Blume and Zanthoxylum schinifolium Siebold & Zucc Mixed Extract Suppress Platelet Aggregation and Thrombosis. [PDF]

open access: yesMedicina (Kaunas), 2021
Zucc (ZS) are known to exhibit hemostatic and antiplatelet effects as traditional medicines that have been used for a long time. In this study, we investigated the effect of a mixed extract of GE and ZS (MJGE09) on platelet aggregation and plasma coagulation. Results: We found that MJGE09 inhibited collagen-and ADP-induced platelet aggregation in vitro.

Parishin alleviates vascular ageing in mice by upregulation of Klotho

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 27, Issue 10, Page 1398-1409, May 2023., 2023
Abstract Senescence of vascular endothelial cells is the major risk of vascular dysfunction and disease among elderly people. Parishin, which is a phenolic glucoside derived from Gastrodia elata, significantly prolonged yeast lifespan. However, the action of parishin in vascular ageing remains poorly understood.

Cellulomonas endophytica sp. nov., isolated from Gastrodia elata Blume

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2020
A Gram-stain-positive, facultatively anaerobic and non-motile strain, designated SYSUP0004T, was isolated from the tubers of Gastrodia elata Blume collected from Yunnan Province, PR China. The 16S rRNA gene sequence result showed that the strain SYSUP0004T shared low similarity (97.7 %) with the type strain of
