Selective methanol sensors are achieved by coating carbon nanotube chemiresistors with two dimensional conductive metal–organic frameworks that incorporate intra‐pore clusters. These confined clusters increase the density of adsorption sites while restricting the transport of larger interfering molecules, particularly ethanol. This sensing architecture

A new benign solvent (1,3‐diphenylacetone) enables a simple, safe, and sustainable dissolution and gelation method to convert waste PET into low density, monolithic aerogels with high mechanical strength (E = 20 MPa) and remarkably low thermal conductivity (k = 21.9 to 28.9 mW/m·K).

Double‐Transition‐Metal MXenes: Multimetallic 2D Platforms for Next‐Generation Biomedicine
The present work explores recent progress in double‐transition‐metal MXenes and focuses on their potential as multifunctional biomedical nanoplatforms whose tunable optical, electronic, mechanical, and surface properties enable imaging, theranostics, antimicrobial activity, biosensing, tissue engineering, and drug delivery.

Super‐Resolution Ultrasound Based Cell Tracking With Polymeric Nanobubbles
This study presents a super‐resolution ultrasound platform for tracking cells in vivo. Biocompatible polymeric nanobubbles are used as highly echogenic intracellular labels. Following the injection of cells and microbubbles, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) can dynamically match the microvascular architecture and individual cell trajectories ...

When a gatekeeper denies a researcher access: circumstances of gate closure in social work research
Social work research often requires the exploration of sensitive topics that concern hard-to-reach populations. In order to gain access to these groups, researchers are often forced to rely on gatekeepers during the research process.

High‐Sensitivity Terahertz Gas Sensing Enabled by Undercut Metal‐Dielectric‐Metal Metamaterial
A terahertz (THz) metamaterial gas sensor is demonstrated using a metal–dielectric–metal (MDM) absorber with an undercut dielectric layer, which enlarges the gas‐replaced volume and strengthens refractive‐index perturbation of the resonant mode. A reflection dip at 0.766 THz is observed, and acetone–nitrogen tests yield concentration‐dependent shifts ...

Gendered Gatekeepers: Barriers to Women in Party-Controlled Candidate Selection
My dissertation and book project, Gendered Gatekeepers: Barriers to Women in Party-Controlled Candidate Selection, examines how the gatekeepers within political parties evaluate women and men during candidate selection processes.
