Covalently linked carbazole dimers exhibit intense excimer‐based circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). A simple propylene‐tethered dimer achieves glum ≈ 0.01 in the violet region—among the highest for small organic emitters without heavy atoms. Conformational mapping reveals CPL is governed by thermodynamic/kinetic control of emissive conformers ...

Orientational relaxations in solid (1,1,2,2)tetrachloroethane [PDF]
We employ dielectricspectroscopy and molecular dynamic simulations to investigate the dipolar dynamics in the orientationally disordered solid phase of (1,1,2,2)tetrachloroethane.

We report a polymer‐chain insertion strategy to fabricate pore‐threaded MOF thin films with precisely tuned surface chemistry and wettability. Grafting n‐alkane chains into the pillared layer Cu2(bdc)2(dabco) MOF thin film's vertical nanochannels enhances water stability, and induces hydrophobicity and lubricant‐free, solid‐like slippery behavior ...

Entropy and Information jump for log-concave vectors
We extend the result of Ball and Nguyen on the jump of entropy under convolution for log-concave random vectors. We show that the result holds for any pair of vectors (not necessarily identically distributed) and that a similar inequality holds for the ...
