Quantization of 2D Abelian Gauge Theory without the Kinetic Term of Gauge Field as Anomalous Gauge Theory [PDF]
The massless Schwinger model without the kinetic term of gauge field has gauge anomaly. We quantize the model as an anomalous gauge theory in the most general class of gauge conditions. We show that the gauge field becomes a dynamical variable because of gauge anomaly.

Additive manufacturing of magnesium alloys by laser is difficult because the melting point of the oxide layer is much higher than the evaporation temperature of the metal underneath. Making the oxide layer thinner can solve this problem. Alloying magnesium with strontium makes the oxide layer thinner, especially at 0.5 wt%.

Quantization of Gauge Theories with Anomalies [PDF]
In this talk, we briefly review the basic concepts of anomalous gauge theories. It has been known for some time how theories with local anomalies can be handled. Recently it has been pointed out that global anomalies, which obstruct the quantization of certain gauge theories in the temporal gauge, get bypassed in canonical quantization.

Anomaly Detection Method for Hybrid Workpieces Using Dynamic Time Warping
Monitoring of hybrid workpieces: when machining hybrid workpieces, unavoidable axial deviations of the material transition zone cause temporal shifts in the process force signals. A new anomaly detection method based on dynamic time warping is proposed to detect material defects.

Comments on Gauged WZW Models [PDF]
Some remarks are made about free anomaly groups in gauged WZW models. Considering a quite general action, anomaly cancellation is analyzed. The possibility of gauging left and right sectors independently in some cases is remarked. In particular Toda theories can be seen as such a kind of models.

UV/IR Mixing and Anomalies in Noncommutative Gauge Theories [PDF]
Using path integral method (Fujikawa's method) we calculate anomalies in noncommutative gauge theories with fermions in the bi-fundamental and adjoint representations. We find that axial and chiral gauge anomalies coming from non-planar contributions are derived in the low noncommutative momentum limit $\widetilde{p}^{\mu}(\equiv \theta^{\mu\nu}p_{\nu})

This article concerns room temperature tensile testing, with a range of (nominal) strain rates, of three titanium alloys. Stress–strain curves are analyzed to obtain creep characteristics. Profilometry‐based indentation plastometry testing is also covered, using different penetration velocities, and correlations established with tensile data.

A Study on Thermal Expansion and Thermomechanical Behavior of Composite Metal Foams
The coefficient of thermal expansion of steel–steel composite metal foam (S‐S CMF) is shown to be lower than that of bulk stainless steel while its performance under compression demonstrate excellent mechanical stability and strength at all temperatures with gradualsoftening from 400 to 600 °C.

Weyl fermions in a non-abelian gauge background and trace anomalies [PDF]
We study the trace and chiral anomalies of Weyl fermions in a non-abelian gauge background in four dimensions. Using a Pauli-Villars regularization we identify the trace anomaly, proving that it can be cast in a gauge invariant form, even in the presence of the non-abelian chiral anomaly, that we rederive to check the consistency of our methods.
