17 MeV Atomki anomaly from short-distance structure of spacetime

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
An anomaly observed recently in the $$^8 \hbox {Be}$$ 8Be nuclear transition by the Atomki collaboration hints at a weakly-coupled, light new gauge boson with a mass of about 17 MeV.

Implications of anomalous gauge boson interactions to the fermion electromagnetic moments [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We calculate the electromagnetic fermion form-factors induced by the anomalous gauge boson interactions contained in the operators ODW and ODB. Other results regarding anomalous triple gauge boson interactions are briefly overviewed.

Axion couplings to electroweak gauge bosons [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2019
We determine the model-independent component of the couplings of axions to electroweak gauge bosons, induced by the minimal coupling to QCD inherent to solving the strong CP problem. The case of the invisible QCD axion is developed first, and the impact on $W$ and $Z$ axion couplings is discussed.

Inclusive production cross sections at N3LO

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We present for the first time the inclusive cross section for associated Higgs boson production with a massive gauge boson at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD.

Triple gauge boson decay of new neutral gauge bosons

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1989
Abstract The decay of new heavy neutral gauge bosons (Z′) into three gauge boson final states (e.g., W + W − Z) is examined within the context of E 6 superstring-inspired models. We find that the ratio of decay rates Γ(Z′→W + W − Z)/Γ(Z′→W + W − ) grows quadratically with the Z′ mass and can be as large ≅0.43 for a Z′ mass of 3 TeV.

Universality of the Pinch Technique Gauge Boson Self-Energies [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Lett. B349 (1995) 155-164, 1994
It is shown how the S-matrix pinch technique may be extended to the cases of external scalar and gauge boson fields. Using this extension, the universality of the pinch technique gauge-independent one-loop gauge boson self-energy in a general unbroken SU($N$) gauge theory is demonstrated explicitly.

Measurements of WH and ZH production in the $$H \rightarrow b\bar{b}$$ H → b b ¯ decay channel in pp collisions at $$13\,\text {Te}\text {V}$$ 13 Te with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
Measurements of the Standard Model Higgs boson decaying into a $$b\bar{b}$$ b b ¯ pair and produced in association with a W or Z boson decaying into leptons, using proton–proton collision data collected between 2015 and 2018 by the ATLAS detector, are ...

Detecting the $L_{\mu}-L_{\tau}$ gauge boson at Belle II [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We discuss the feasibility of detecting the gauge boson of the U(1)Lμ-Lτ symmetry, which possesses a mass in the range between MeV and GeV, at the Belle-II experiment.

A gauge theory that mixes Bosonic and Fermionic gauge fields [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Physics, 2021
Using a gauge symmetry derived by applying the Dirac constraint formalism to supergravity with a cosmological term in 2 + 1 dimensions, we construct a gauge theory with many characteristics of Yang–Mills theory. The gauge transformation mixes two Bosonic fields and one Fermionic field.
