Supervised Machine Learning Algorithms for Ground Motion Time Series Classification from InSAR Data

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
The increasing availability of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images facilitates the generation of rich Differential Interferometric SAR (DInSAR) data. Temporal analysis of DInSAR products, and in particular deformation Time Series (TS), enables advanced

DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS TOOLS BASED ON GROUND-BASED SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR IMAGERY [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2017
The Ground-Based SAR (GBSAR) is a terrestrial remote sensing technique used to measure and monitor deformation. In this paper we describe two complementary approaches to derive deformation measurements using GBSAR data.

The Gauss map of minimal surfaces in the Heisenberg group [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We study the Gauss map of minimal surfaces in the Heisenberg group $\mathrm{Nil}_3$ endowed with a left-invariant Riemannian metric. We prove that the Gauss map of a nowhere vertical minimal surface is harmonic into the hyperbolic plane $\mathbb{H}^2 ...

Gauss' Lemma [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1972
Let f ( x ) f(x) be a polynomial in several indeterminates with coefficients in an integral domain R with quotient field K. We prove that the principal ideal generated by f in the polynomial ring R [ x ] R[x] is prime iff f is irreducible over K and

Reliably Estimating the Length of the Effectively Conjugated Segment in Ladder Poly(para-phenylene)s

open access: yesOrganic Materials, 2020
In 1995 we extrapolated the so-called “effective conjugation length” in (para-phenylene) ladder polymers by relating the optical absorption energy to the reciprocal chain length of ladder-type oligo-(para-phenylene)s, but only based on three short-chain ...

INSAR DEFORMATION TIME SERIES CLASSIFICATION USING A CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2022
Temporal analysis of deformations Time Series (TS) provides detailed information of various natural and humanmade displacements. Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) generates millimetre-scale products, indicating the chronicle behaviour of ...

GROUND DEFORMATION ANALYSIS USING BASIC PRODUCTS OF THE COPERNICUS GROUND MOTION SERVICE [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2022
Monitoring ground deformation at national and regional level with millimetre-scale precision, nowadays, is possible by using Advanced Differential Interferometric SAR (A-DInSAR) techniques.

Generalized Weyl solutions in d=5 Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory: the static black ring [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We argue that the Weyl coordinates and the rod-structure employed to construct static axisymmetric solutions in higher dimensional Einstein gravity can be generalized to the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory. As a concrete application of the general formalism,

On a Characterization of Gauss Codes [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete & Computational Geometry, 1999
The traversal of a self crossing closed plane curve, with points of multiplicity at most two, defines a double occurrence sequence, the Gauss code of the curve. Using the D-switch operation, we give a new simple characterization of these sequences and deduce a simple self-contained proof of Rosenstiehl's characterization.
