Attractive planar panelization using dynamic relaxation principles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the presented paper a new method is proposed to approximate a given NURBS surface with a PQ (Planar Quad) mesh. The desired mesh layout will be generated in plan and then attracted to the target surface. The process iteratively pulls the mesh vertices

A Note on Gauss-Bonnet Black Holes at Criticality

open access: yes, 2017
With in the extended thermodynamics, we give a comparative study of critical heat engines for Gauss-Bonnet and charged black holes in AdS in five dimensions, in the limit of large Gauss-Bonnet parameter $\alpha$ and charge $q$, respectively. We show that

Anomalous Spin‐Optical Helical Effect in Ti‐Based Kagome Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The kagome lattice hosts diverse correlated quantum states, including elusive loop currents. We report spin‐handedness selective signals in CsTi3Bi5, termed the anomalous spin‐optical helical effect, surpassing conventional spin responses. Arising from light helicity coupled to spin‐orbital correlations, this effect provides a sensitive, indirect probe

Stochastic Gauss equations [PDF]

open access: yesCelestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, 2015
We derive the equations of celestial mechanics governing the variations of the orbital elements under a stochastic perturbation generalizing the classical Gauss equations. Explicit formulas are given for the semi-major axis, the eccentricity, the inclination, the longitude of the ascending node, the pericenter angle and the mean anomaly which are ...

Pulsed DC Sputter Deposition of Stable Turbostratic Boron Nitride Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Boron nitride (BN) films are deposited by sputtering from a boron target. During deposition, a substrate bias voltage is applied between the plasma and the sample, which reduces excess boron in the film and enhances the crystallinity. This process prevents the formation of boric acid and ammonium borate hydrate.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF FAST AT FOR CORRIDOR AERIAL MAPPING [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2012
Nowadays most airborne photogrammetric and remote sensing systems are equipped with GNSS receivers and inertial sensors that allow the use of various orientation methods: from Direct Sensor Orientation (DiSO) to Integrated Sensor Orientation (ISO), all ...

Crack Repair in Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics Using an Ultraviolet Ultrafast Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The study proposes an ultrafast ultraviolet laser approach to repair hidden tooth cracks, which has been preliminarily validated on HAP. Moreover, this technique aims to strengthen the native enamel structure rather than introducing a foreign filling material.

Electronic Structure Reorganization in MPS3 via d‐Shell‐Selective Alkali Metal Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Alkali metal doping of layered MPS3 antiferromagnets reveals d‐shell‐selective responses. While MnPS3 resists charge transfer due to its half‐filled 3d5 shell, FePS3 and NiPS3 behave similarly to CoPS3 by accommodating extra d‐electrons. Yet only CoPS3, with its least stable d‐shell, undergoes pronounced band restructuring and a semiconducting‐to ...

An Approach to Persistent Scatterer Interferometry

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2014
This paper describes a new approach to Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) data processing and analysis, which is implemented in the PSI chain of the Geomatics (PSIG) Division of CTTC. This approach includes three main processing blocks.

Capture and Culture of Circulating Tumor Cells Using a Biodegradable 3D Scaffold for Patient‐Derived Xenograft Construction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐supporting, biocompatible, and biodegradable 3D cellulose scaffold has been developed for efficient isolation and in situ expansion of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from patient blood. Subsequently, the 3D cellulose scaffold with cultured CTCs is directly implanted into immunodeficient mice for constructing patient CTC‐derived xenograft (CDX ...
