Scalable spokes pTx pulses for 2D turbo‐spin‐echo imaging at 7 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 740-755, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose Turbo spin echo (TSE) is important clinically. Unfortunately, 7 T TSE suffers from B1+‐induced signal dropouts. Magnitude‐based parallel transmit (pTx) pulse design algorithms cannot enforce phase patterns complying with the Carr‐Purcell‐Meiboom‐Gill conditions (90° phase shift between excitation and refocusing).

Simultaneous in vivo detection of spectrally resolved glutamate, glutamine, and glutathione at 3 T with NAA‐aspartyl editing and echo‐time optimization

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 668-679, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose To achieve spectrally resolved in vivo detection of glutamate, glutamine, and glutathione at 3 T. Methods Difference editing of N‐acetylaspartate CH2 protons (NAA‐CH2) combined with a new echo‐time (TE) optimization approach is introduced.

T1‐weighted fMRI in mouse visual cortex using an iron oxide nanoparticle contrast agent and UTE imaging at 9.4 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 680-692, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose This study aims to investigate the feasibility of using T1‐weighted fMRI with an iron oxide nanoparticle contrast agent and UTE imaging at 9.4 T to measure functional hyperemia in the mouse visual cortex. The goal is to capture positive signal changes in both the parenchyma and pial surface, and to test whether surface vessels respond ...

Supersaturated Designs for Main Effects and Two‐Factor Interactions

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, Volume 42, Issue 1, Page 52-65, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Supersaturated designs (SSDs), which use fewer runs than factors, are employed in screening experiments to identify large main effects (MEs), even when the experimental setting may also involve factors that interact. This paper introduces new SSD design criteria that account for two‐factor interactions (2FIs) and compares them with designs ...

Failure Criterion‐Based Bead Optimization of a Wind Turbine Blade Root Section

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 29, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This study presents a bead‐based optimization framework for fiber composite wind turbine blades, employing the Tsai–Wu failure criterion as the structural performance measure. The objective is to design an optimal transition geometry between an existing blade and a root section with 20% smaller diameter, while preserving the original material ...

Addressing Known Challenges in Solar Flare Forecasting I: Limb‐Flare Prediction With a 4π Full‐Heliosphere Framework

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract A demonstrated failure mode for operational solar flare forecasting is the inability to forecast flares that occur near, or just beyond, the solar limb. To address this shortcoming, we develop a “4π $4{\uppi }$” full‐heliosphere event forecasting framework and evaluate its statistical classification ability against this specific challenge.
