Generalized quadratic Gauss sums and their 2mth power mean

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
The main purpose of this article is to study the problem of calculating the 2mth power mean of the generalized quadratic Gauss sums, and using the analytic method and an interesting combinatorial identity to give a sharp asymptotic formula for the 2mth ...

The hybrid power mean of the generalized Gauss sums

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
The main purpose of this paper is using the analytic method and the orthogonal properties of the character sums to study the computational problem of one kind hybrid power mean of the generalized Gauss sums mod p $\operatorname{mod}\ p$ , an odd prime ...

Two‐Dimensional Flow and Thermal Energy Transfer in Non‐Newtonian Casson–Carreau Ternary Hybrid Nanofluids Over Stationary and Moving Wedge Surfaces With Radiation and Magnetic Field Effects

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Efficient thermal management in advanced industrial systems requires improved heat transfer performance, particularly under non‐Newtonian fluid behavior and complex surface geometries. This study investigates the two‐dimensional flow and heat transfer characteristics of ternary hybrid nanofluids over both stationary and moving wedge surfaces ...

On the generalized exponential sums and their fourth power mean

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
The main purpose of this article is to study the calculating problem of the fourth power mean of the two-term exponential sums and provide an accurate calculating formula for utilizing analytical methods and character sums’ properties. In the meantime, a

A new fourth power mean of two-term exponential sums

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
The main purpose of this paper is to use analytic methods and properties of quartic Gauss sums to study a special fourth power mean of a two-term exponential sums modp, with p an odd prime, and prove interesting new identities.

Kummer’s conjecture for cubic Gauss sums [PDF]

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Mathematics, 2000
In J. Reine Angew. Math. 310, 111--130 (1979; Zbl 0412.10028) the author and the reviewer proved that cubic Gauss sums defined over primes in the ring \(\mathbb Z[\omega]\), \(\omega^2+ \omega+1=0\) were uniformly distributed; this result showed in particular that conjecture (or rather suggestion) about the distribution of the values of cubic Gauss ...

Magnetic Field‐Modulated Boolean Logic in Proteinoid‐ Fe3 O4 Hybrid Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Proteinoid‐Fe3O4${\rm Fe}_3{\rm O}_4$. nanoparticle composites exhibit spontaneous electrical oscillations that emulate Boolean logic gates (AND, OR, XOR, NAND, NOR, NOT) under magnetic field modulation. External fields of 65.103 mT tune oscillatory behavior: 84 mT enhances amplitude while 103 mT suppresses it.

Primality proving with Gauss and Jacobi sums

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2004
This article presents a primality test known as APR (Adleman, Pomerance and Rumely) which was invented in 1980. It was later simplified and improved by Cohen and Lenstra.

Covalent Attachment of a Platinum(II) Complex inside DNA Duplexes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Oxidative addition is used for the site‐specific incorporation of an organometallic PtII complex as an artificial nucleobase into a DNA duplex. The platination stabilizes the duplex and confers it with phosphorescence. An organometallic phosphorescent PtII complex is introduced into DNA duplexes via oxidative addition to a tailor‐made artificial ...

The Weil representation and Gauss sums [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1996
We use the Weil representation to evaluate certain Gauss sums over a local field, up to \(\pm 1\). Also we construct a cocycle on \(\text{Sp} (2m, \mathbb{R})\) with a simple formula on the maximal compact torus and we show how to lift homomorphisms \(j: \text{Sp} (2n, \mathbb{R})\to \text{Sp} (2m, \mathbb{R})\) to the double covers of these groups.
