Non-Gaussian integrals and general hypergeometric functions

open access: yes, 2020
By a non-Gaussian integral we mean integral of the product of an arbitrary function and exponent of a polynomial. We develop a theory of such integrals, which generalizes and simplifies the theory of general hypergeometric functions in the sense of I. M. Gelfand et al.

MATHIEU-TYPE SERIES BUILT BY (p, q)-EXTENDED GAUSSIAN HYPERGEOMETRIC FUNCTION

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2017
The main purpose of this paper is to present closed integral form expressions for the Mathieu-type $\boldsymbol a$-series and its associated alternating version whose terms contain a $(p, q)$-extended Gauss' hypergeometric function. Certain upper bounds for the two series are also given.

Monotonicity properties of the Gaussian hypergeometric functions with applications

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Inequalities
In this paper, the authors establish certain monotonicity properties of functions involving particular cases of Gaussian hypergeometric functions, which generalize known inequalities related to elliptic-type integrals and Grötzsch ring-type functions.

A Note on Convexity Properties for Gaussian Hypergeometric Function

open access: yesContemporary Mathematics
Gaussian hypergeometric function has been investigated in the context of geometric function theory regarding many aspects. Obtaining univalence conditions for this function is a line of research followed by many scholars. In the present study, methods specific to the differential superordination theory are used for obtaining properties of the Gaussian ...

A Discrete Cramér–Von Mises Statistic Related to Hahn Polynomials with Application to Goodness-of-Fit Testing for Hypergeometric Distributions

open access: yesAxioms
We give the Karhunen–Loève expansion of the covariance function of a family of discrete weighted Brownian bridges, appearing as discrete analogues of continuous Gaussian processes related to Cramér –von Mises and Anderson–Darling statistics. This analogy

Integral representations for a class of triple confluent hypergeometric functions and their applications in boundary value problems

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
Hypergeometric functions are divided into complete and confluent functions. Srivastava and Karlsson were the first to propose a method for constructing the complete set of triple Gaussian hypergeometric series and compiled a table containing definitions

Tricomi Problem for a Mixed-Type Equation of the Second Kind in a Domain the Elliptic Part of Which is the First Quadrant of the Plane

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki
In the theory of mixed-type equations, most studies have been carried out for bounded domains with smooth boundaries and for equations of the first kind.
