Landen inequalities for Gaussian hypergeometric function

Revista De La Real Academia De Ciencias Exactas, Fisicas Y Naturales - Serie A: Matematicas, 2021
The paper contains several Landen inequalities, and quadratic and cubic transformation inequalities for the general Gaussian hypergeometric function \(_2F_1(a, b; c ;x)\). The authors present Landen inequalities and other Ramanujan's quadratic, cubic transformation inequalities for the Gaussian hypergeometric function \(F(a,b;c;r)\) which are ...

Starlikeness of the Gaussian hypergeometric functions

Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations, 2010
In this article, we derive conditions on the parameters a, b, c so that the function zF(a, b; c; z) is starlike in 𝔻, where F(a, b; c; z) denotes the classical hypergeometric function. We give some consequences of our results including some mapping properties of convolution operator.
