Charge‐Tunable Coacervate Micelles for Separator Engineering in Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries
A separator engineering strategy based on charge‐tunable complex coacervate core micelles (C3Ms) is presented to form an ion‐selective layer regulating polysulfide transport in Li–S batteries. The micelles enable uniform adsorption onto commercial polypropylene separators and infiltration throughout the internal pore network, suppressing polysulfide ...

Bayesian Portfolio Selection with Gaussian Mixture Returns [PDF]
Markowitz portfolio selection is challenged by huge implementation barriers. This paper addresses the parameter uncertainty and deviation from normality in a Bayesian framework. The non-normal asset returns are modeled as finite Gaussian mixtures.

Self‐Assembled Lipids as Soft Dielectrics
Self‐assembled lipid bilayers serve as soft dielectric materials for ultrathin electronics. Using liquid‐metal parallel‐plate junctions, the capacitance and dielectric breakdown of dehydrated lipid films are characterized. Dielectric behavior is controlled by lipid molecular structure, cholesterol content, and assembly conditions, providing molecular ...

Incremental Learning of Temporally-Coherent
In this paper we address the problem of learning Gaussian Mixture Models (GMMs) incrementally. Unlike previous approaches which universally assume that new data comes in blocks representable by GMMs which are then merged with the current model ...

Gaussian mixture based semi supervised boosting for imbalanced data classification
Semi supervised approaches are practical in problem domain where pattern clustering is supposed to provide good classification. Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) can approximate arbitrary probability distribution, thus is considered as a dominant tool for ...

Spin Dynamics in the van der Waals Ferromagnet CrTe2 Engineered by Niobium Doping
Spin‐dynamic magnetic properties of van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnet 1T‐CrTe2 are tuned via niobium (Nb) as Cr1‐xNbxTe2 (x = 0–0.2). Nb doping enables wide‐band tuning of the resonance frequency from 40 GHz down to the few‐GHz regime, accompanied by a moderate increase in the Gilbert damping from ∼0.066 to ∼0.14.

Collagen II coatings support the formation of synovial fluid nanofilms, while collagen I coatings do not. Both bind recombinant equine lubricin similarly. These findings may help explain articular cartilage surface joint dysfunction, inform biomaterial design for synovial joint repair, and expand on lubricin‐based osteoarthritis therapies.

Local polar frustration is engineered to stabilize an ergodic relaxer through nanoscale multiphase coexistence, suppressing long‐range ferroelectric order while preserving high polarization. This strategy delivers ultrahigh low‐field normalized energy density (Wa >0.020 mC cm−2), exceptional thermal stability, and a transferable design principle for ...

A mechanically programmable hydrogel for tissue engineering is developed by modulating the molecular threading density of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate‐β‐cyclodextrin (PEGDA‐β‐CD) polyrotaxane and combining it with β‐CD‐modified gelatin. The polyrotaxane‐guided transition from disordered pores to laminar microstructures enables precise tuning ...
