Rational Device Design and Doping‐Controlled Performance in Fast‐Response π‐Ion Gel Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
π‐Ion gel transistors (PIGTs) achieve extraordinary transconductance and stability through device configuration optimization, high‐mobility conjugated polymer selection, and hole scavenger doping. The optimized PIGTs maintain performance on flexible substrates, enabling printed, fast‐response, and wearable electronics.

Toward Scalable Solutions for Silver‐Based Gas Diffusion Electrode Fabrication for the Electrochemical Conversion of CO2 – A Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

Positive Data Modeling Using a Mixture of Mixtures of Inverted Beta Distributions

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Finite mixture models based on the symmetric Gaussian distribution have been applied broadly in data analysis. However, not all the data in real-world applications can be safely supposed to have a symmetric Gaussian form.

Reprogramming Tumor Cell Death via Processing Natural Drug to Carbon Dots Overcomes Collagen Barrier and Activates Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A traditional Chinese medicine‐derived carbon dots nanoplatform reprograms tumor cell death from apoptosis to necroptosis, dismantling therapy‐induced collagen barriers and promoting immunogenic death. pH‐responsive hydrogel assembled from carbon dots for localized delivery, this strategy suppresses primary tumors and metastasis, offering a new ...

Charge Transport in Ternary Charge‐Transfer Solid Solution Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study deconvolutes the roles of indirect (superexchange) and direct electronic coupling on charge transport in single crystals of an organic charge‐transfer molecular semiconductor (OSC). This model system elegantly demonstrates that structural defects introduced by chemical dopants play a significant role in the electronic performance ...

High dimensional Sparse Gaussian Graphical Mixture Model

open access: yes, 2013
This paper considers the problem of networks reconstruction from heterogeneous data using a Gaussian Graphical Mixture Model (GGMM). It is well known that parameter estimation in this context is challenging due to large numbers of variables coupled with ...

Self‐Refreshing Bi‐Based Active Sites for Efficient and Durable Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐refreshing Bi‐based catalyst is developed through the fabrication of a novel basic bismuth nitrate pre‐catalyst, which exhibits differential active sites of Bi2O2CO3 at low potentials and metallic Bi phases at high potentials, self‐repairing capability, and thus wide‐potential‐window efficiency and ultralong durability toward electrochemical CO2

Identifying topologically associating domains and subdomains by Gaussian Mixture model And Proportion test

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
The spatial organization of the genome plays a critical role in regulating gene expression. Recent chromatin interaction mapping studies have revealed that topologically associating domains and subdomains are fundamental building blocks of the three ...

Encoding Magnetic Anisotropies in Digital Light Processing 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid magnetic device—combining a coaxial coil within a nested Halbach array—is presented, integrated into a DLP 3D printer to enable spatially resolved magnetic field control. This system enables complex, multimodal responses by programming liquid crystal elastomer resins for magnetic and thermal actuation, and by inducing electrically conductive ...

Product of Gaussian Mixture Diffusion Models

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision
AbstractIn this work, we tackle the problem of estimating the density$$ f_X $$fXof a random variable$$ X $$Xby successive smoothing, such that the smoothed random variable$$ Y $$Yfulfills the diffusion partial differential equation$$ (\partial _t - \Delta _1)f_Y(\,\cdot \,, t) = 0 $$(∂t-Δ1)fY(·,t)=0with initial condition$$ f_Y(\,\cdot \,, 0) = f_X $$fY(
