Single-Quadrature Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution [PDF]
Most continuous-variable quantum key distribution schemes are based on the Gaussian modulation of coherent states followed by continuous quadrature detection using homodyne detectors.

Magnetic Resonance Guided Radiation Therapy (MRgRT) Prostate Motion and Margins
This study evaluated intra‐fractional prostate motion during MR‐guided radiotherapy to determine appropriate PTV margins for prostate cancer. Analysis of 18 patients resulted in calculated margins of 3.2 mm (AP), 1.7 mm (LR), and 3.2 mm (SI), supporting the potential for margin reduction with MRgRT. ABSTRACT Introduction Systematic and random errors in

Numerical Integration in S-PLUS or R: A Survey
This paper reviews current quadrature methods for approximate calculation of integrals within S-Plus or R. Starting with the general framework, Gaussian quadrature will be discussed first, followed by adaptive rules and Monte Carlo methods.

Estimation of squeezing in a nonlinear quadrature of a mechanical oscillator
Processing quantum information on continuous variables requires a highly nonlinear element in order to attain universality. Noise reduction in processing such quantum information involves the use of a nonlinear phase state as a non-Gaussian ancilla.

A highly accurate numerical method is given for the solution of boundary value problem of generalized Bagley‐Torvik (BgT) equation with Caputo derivative of order 0<β<2$$ 0<\beta <2 $$ by using the collocation‐shooting method (C‐SM). The collocation solution is constructed in the space Sm+1(1)$$ {S}_{m+1}^{(1)} $$ as piecewise polynomials of degree at ...

Quadrature formulas based on rational interpolation
We consider quadrature formulas based on interpolation using the basis functions $1/(1+t_kx)$ $(k=1,2,3,\ldots)$ on $[-1,1]$, where $t_k$ are parameters on the interval $(-1,1)$.

ABSTRACT Purpose Dorsal rhizotomy, or spinal dorsal nerve root lesioning, is a surgical procedure used to treat intractable nerve pain by selectively severing sensory afferent nerve roots. This study aimed to evaluate whether multiparametric MRI, including diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), quantitative magnetization transfer (qMT), chemical exchange ...

A practical limitation for continuous-variable quantum cryptography using coherent states
In this letter, first, we investigate the security of a continuous-variable quantum cryptographic scheme with a postselection process against individual beam splitting attack.
