Beyond Water: Deep Eutectic Solvents Enable Dye‐Sensitised Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production
Dye‐sensitised photocatalytic H2 evolution is demonstrated for the first time in deep eutectic solvents (DESs). Carbazole‐based dyes with different hydrophobicity sensitise Pt@TiO2, revealing that heterogeneous dye–DES combinations maximise activity. Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.

Asymmetry of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in BaTiO3
Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.
