Sleep Deprivation Alters T Cell Dynamics: Melatonin as a Restorative Agent

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sleep is an essential physiological function regulated by circadian rhythm and homeostatic regulation for emotional and physical health. Conversely, sleep deprivation (SD) is associated with weakened immune system function and overall health, which potentially leads to chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.

National Colonialism: Nation‐State, Colonialism and Colonisation of Kurdistan

open access: yesNations and Nationalism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article develops the concept of ‘national colonialism’ to capture colonial relations in the nation‐state form. It does so through a critical appraisal of the concept of ‘internal colonialism’, which largely fails to explain the links between nationalism and colonial relations.

Scattering in abrupt heterostructures using a position dependent mass Hamiltonian

open access: yes, 2005
Transmission probabilities of the scattering problem with a position dependent mass are studied. After sketching the basis of the theory, within the context of the Schr\"{o}dinger equation for spatially varying effective mass, the simplest problem ...

Exact solution of position dependent mass Schroedinger equation by supersymmetric quantum mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A supersymmetric technique for the solution of the effective mass Schr\"{o}% dinger equation is proposed. Exact solutions of the Schroedinger equation corresponding to a number of potentials are obtained.

The effect of salubrinal on the endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway in heat‐stressed spermatogonial cells in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 2, Page 340-351, February 2026.
This study investigates the protective role of salubrinal against heat‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in mouse spermatogenic cells (GC1 and GC2). By modulating the ER stress pathway, salubrinal alleviates cellular stress and supports spermatogenic cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic candidate for heat‐related infertility.

A study involving the completion of quasi 2-normed space

open access: yes, 2012
The fundamental aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate a new property of quasi 2-normed space based on a question given by C. Park (2006) [2] for the completion quasi 2-normed space.

Association Between Neutrophil‐to‐Lymphocyte Ratio and Glycemic Control in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: An Updated Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is increasingly seen as a chronic inflammatory state, with the neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) studied as a new biomarker of systemic inflammation. Evidence links NLR to glycemic control, but its consistency and strength vary.
