Exploring Metabolome with GC/MS
2013Abstract The rapidly expanding field of metabolomics has been driven by major advances in analytical tools such as mass spectrometry and the corresponding hyphenated methods such as gas chromatography (GC–MS) but also in chemometrics and bioinformatics. The metabolomic field has been mainly developed in plant sciences and GC/MS was applied very early

Identification of arsenolipids with GC/MS
Talanta, 2009Arsenic-containing hydrocarbons have recently been reported as natural constituents of fish oil. We report a simple method for determining these compounds by GC/MS. Application of the methodology will delineate the distribution of these novel arsenic compounds in foods, and facilitate an assessment of the toxicological implications.

Standardizing GC–MS metabolomics
Journal of Chromatography B, 2008Metabolomics being the most recently introduced "omic" analytical platform is currently at its development phase. For the metabolomics to be broadly deployed to biological and clinical research and practice, issues regarding data validation and reproducibility need to be resolved.

Archaeological wood characterisation by PY/GC/MS, GC/MS, NMR and GPC techniques
Microchemical Journal, 2007Abstract The chemical characterisation of waterlogged archaeological wood is of paramount importance in terms of understanding not only the degradation processes of wood in artistic and archaeological objects but also the development of consolidation and conservation procedures.

GC-MS and GC-MS-MS analysis of a complex essential oil
Chromatographia, 1988The alcoholic portion of avetiver oil (Bourbon), the gas chromatogram of which shows more than 100 components, was analyzed by combined GC-MS with different ionization methods. This enabled us to identify major components. The specificity of the method was improved by using combined gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry in the collision-activated-

Separation and Composition Analysis of GC/MS Analyzable and Unanalyzable Parts from Coal Tar
Energy & Fuels, 2018Composition analysis of coal tar remains a challenging task because of its complex components. In this paper, the compositions of low temperature coal tar (LTCT) and the wash oil fraction of high temperature coal tar (HTCT) were studied.

Differentiation of the six dimethoxypyrovalerone regioisomers: GC-MS, GC-MS/MS and GC-IR
Talanta, 2017Multiple and complementary analytical methods are often necessary for the identification of a specific compound from a series of closely related structural isomers. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), gas chromatography-product ion mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography-infrared spectroscopy (GC-IR) were used to differentiate ...
