Efficient Room‐Temperature Methane Oxidation by μ‐Nitrido‐Bridged Iron Phthalocyanine Dimer Deposited on Conductive Carbon Black

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 3, 12 February 2026.
A μ‐nitrido‐bridged iron phthalocyanine dimer deposited on a surface of conductive carbon black acted as an efficient room‐temperature CH4 oxidation catalyst in an aqueous solution containing H2O2. This catalyst demonstrated a much higher CH4 oxidation activity than that of the typical Fenton reaction using FeSO4 and H2O2, a system that is often used ...

Multivariate Optimization of Column Liquid Chromatography for the Separation of Saturated, Aromatic, and Acidic Biomarkers in Petroleum and Rock Extracts

open access: yesJournal of Chemometrics, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Conventional geochemical biomarkers include saturated, aromatic, and carboxylic acid compounds. Saturated and aromatic biomarkers, however, form the foundation of many geochemical studies because of their abundance and intrinsic significance.

Community Trait Distributions Drive Biomass Stand Allocation Trade‐Offs in Karst Forests

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
In this study, multi‐source data (functional traits of dominant species, topography‐soil parameters, and biomass) of the dynamic monitoring plot of Maolan Dynamic Plot of Karst Forest Ecosystem in South China were collected. The partial least squares structural equation model (PLS‐SEM) was adopted to study the biomass trade‐off strategy of the karst ...

Incorporating Refugia Capacity in Assessing Plant Climate Vulnerability: A Study Case on Alpine Endemics

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study assesses the impact of climate change on seven endemic plant species in the Alps by modelling future habitat suitability under different climate scenarios. By identifying long‐term refugia, holdouts and stepping stones, the study reveals species‐specific patterns of persistence and highlights the limited potential for range shifts.
