River Ice Analyses and Roughness Calculations Using Underwater Drones and Photogrammetric Approach

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study presents a methodology for determining hydraulic roughness (Manning's n) of fluvial ice using underwater drone and Structure from Motion (SfM) photogrammetry. The findings show that cost‐efficient equipment can be used to determine Manning's n for river ice, which supports modelling efforts, especially under intense warming in northern areas.

PelviSound L—Real‐time intraoperative sonographic assessment of pelvic sentinel lymph nodes using a drop‐in probe in endometrial and cervical cancer during minimally invasive surgery: A single‐center pilot feasibility study in 20 patients

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 174, Issue 1, Page 332-339, July 2026.
Abstract Objective Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is considered an essential step in the surgical management of endometrial and cervical cancers as it has led to a reduction in the need for full pelvic lymphadenectomy. This proof‐of‐concept study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and diagnostic performance of intraoperative sonographic assessment of

Regulatory Challenges and Opportunities for Cell‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles in Pharmaceutical Development: A European and Global Perspective

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2026.
EV‐based therapeutics are advancing worldwide, but regulatory classification and development expectations remain inconsistent across jurisdictions. This review maps challenges in quality, potency, comparability, safety, clinical design, and ethical/legal oversight, and argues for consistent use of existing medicinal‐product frameworks. We emphasize the

Torque Teno Virus Dynamics in Plasma and BAL of COVID‐19 ARDS Patients With and Without ECMO

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 98, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is used to manage severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and is associated with immune modulation. Torque teno virus (TTV) has been proposed as a surrogate marker of immune competence, but it remains unclear whether ECMO influences TTV levels.
