PSEN1 Expression Identifies a Developmentally Distinct Favourable-Prognosis State in SHH α Medulloblastoma. [PDF]

open access: yesInt J Dev Neurosci
High PSEN1 expression identifies a favourable‐prognosis state in SHH α medulloblastoma and is associated with a reproducible transcriptional programme related to cellular homeostasis and development. Its broad expression during cerebellar development and across paediatric brain tumours suggests that its prognostic significance reflects the specific ...

Guideline for Medication Management of Distressing Symptoms in Older Patients Receiving End‐of‐Life Palliative Care

open access: yesJournal of Evidence-Based Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Older patients receiving end‐of‐life palliative care often present with multiple geriatric syndromes, frailty, and comorbid symptom burden, resulting in a high risk of medication‐related harm. This guideline focuses on pharmacological management of distressing symptoms in older patients receiving end‐of‐life or hospice‐oriented palliative care,

Conservation and management implications of genetic and geometric scale variation in the ancient fish giant featherback (Chitala lopis)

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Giant featherback (Chitala lopis) is an ancient species of freshwater fish considered globally extinct until extant populations were re‐discovered in the Sundaland region of Indonesia in 2022. To improve management of the remaining populations, this study used genomic DNA and landmark‐based geometric morphometric analyses of fish scales to ...

The Effect of Central Sensitization on Long‐Term Prognosis and Comorbidity Levels in Temporomandibular Disorders: A Prospective Longitudinal Study

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
Higher central sensitization‐related symptoms levels based on the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI) predict greater psychological distress, sleep disturbance, autonomic dysfunction and reduced response to long‐term conservative treatment in temporomandibular disorders.

Biofeedback‐Based Therapy in Patients With Myofascial Orofacial Pain and Bruxism: An Umbrella Review

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
This umbrella review of 11 systematic reviews found that biofeedback may reduce masticatory muscle activity, but its effects on myofascial orofacial pain and bruxism remain uncertain. Methodological limitations, heterogeneous protocols, and predominantly low‐quality evidence underscore the need for rigorous, standardized clinical trials.

Biologically‐Oriented Alveolar Ridge Preservation (BARP) in Intact and Compromised Extraction Sockets

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
The Biologically‐oriented Alveolar Ridge Preservation (BARP) is an innovative technique characterized by the stratification of different biomaterials (collagen sponge and xenograft) at intact and compromised sockets. In both groups, the hard and soft tissue modification (bone width, bone height, tissue profile, and hard tissue composition) was limited.
