Characterization of the Escherichia coli gcv operon

Gene, 1994
The nucleotide (nt) sequence of the Escherichia coli gcvP gene was determined. The polypeptide deduced from the DNA sequence has an M(r) of 104,375 (957 amino acids). In a minicell system, gcvP encodes a polypeptide that migrates at 93.3 kDa on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gels.

Image denoising by using PDE and GCV in tetrolet transform domain

Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 2016
The proposed algorithm, which uses partial differential equations (PDE) and generalized cross validation (GCV) theory in the tetrolet transform domain, is used to reduce the noise in an image. Tetrolet transform is applied to decompose the noisy image and GCV theory is used to determine the optimal denoising threshold in the tetrolet transform domain ...

Corneal Absorption and Anterior Chamber Pharmacokinetics of Dipeptide Monoester Prodrugs of Ganciclovir (GCV): In Vivo Comparative Evaluation of These Prodrugs with Val-GCV and GCV in Rabbits

Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2006
The overall aim of this study was to evaluate the corneal absorption of dipeptide monoester prodrugs of ganciclovir (GCV) and compare these results with L-valine-GCV and GCV. Another aim was to evaluate the pharmacokinetics of these prodrugs in aqueous humor.A well was placed on the cornea of anesthetized New Zealand albino rabbits with linear probes ...

Subtherapeutic ganciclovir (GCV) levels and GCV‐resistant cytomegalovirus in lung transplant recipients

Transplant Infectious Disease, 2014
AbstractBackgroundCytomegalovirus (CMV) infection results in significant morbidity and mortality in lung transplant recipients. Ganciclovir (GCV) has dramatically reduced complications caused by CMV infections. Unfortunately, GCV resistance is identified in 5–10% of CMV‐infected patients.

On the choice of tuning parameters for use with Robust GCV, Modified GCV and the Discrepancy Principle in the inversion of ARXPS data

Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 2014
Abstract Composition depth profiles were extracted from simulated ARXPS data using regularization, with the regularization parameter determined by three different methods (Robust GCV, Modified GCV, and the Discrepancy Principle) that require tuning parameters.

Stable expression of green fluorescent protein mediated by GCV in Giardia canis

Parasitology International, 2008
Giardia canis can be infected with a double-stranded RNA virus, that is giardiavirus (G. canis virus, GCV). In this study, green fluorescent protein (GFP) was stably expressed in G. canis mediated by GCV. The plasmid pNEO/GDH/MCS/GFP, containing the neomycin phosphotransferase (NEO) encoding region flanked by the 636 nt of 5'-terminus and the 2174 nt ...
