Small‐angle X‐ray scattering profile calculation for high‐resolution models of biomacromolecules
We present a new analysis approach for calculating the solution X‐ray scattering of high‐resolution models of biomacromolecules. We introduce novel grid‐based methods for evaluating both the hydration shell and excluded volume scattering contributions.

Burden and determinants of anaemia among in‐school young adolescents in Ethiopia, Sudan and Tanzania
‐ We found a substantial burden of anaemia among urban in‐school young adolescents in Ethiopia, Sudan and Tanzania. ‐ The prevalence and adjusted risk of anaemia were higher among boys compared with girls. ‐ Anaemia risk among young adolescents was associated with multiple modifiable indices, including poor diet quality, food insecurity and ...

Abstract Adolescents face the risk of the triple burden of malnutrition—the co‐existence of micronutrient deficiencies, underweight and overweight and obesity and related noncommunicable diseases. Poor‐quality diets are a modifiable risk factor for all forms of malnutrition in adolescents.

Abstract The prevalence of overweight/obesity in adolescents has increased globally, including in low‐ and middle‐income countries. Early adolescence provides an opportunity to develop and encourage positive health and behavioural practices, yet it is an understudied age group with limited information to guide and inform appropriate interventions. This

Dynamic and Buckling Analysis of Hybrid Composite Beam Strengthened with Carbon Fibers/Aramid Fibers under Temperature Gradient [PDF]
Dynamic and buckling of a composite beam reinforced with a combination of carbon and aramid fibers is studied in this paper. The beam is under a thermal gradient through the thickness.

Abstract Mental health in adolescence is important for health and well‐being throughout the life course, but evidence from Sub‐Saharan Africa is sparse. This study aimed to assess the correlates of internalizing, externalizing and cumulative problems among early adolescents. This study used cross‐sectional survey data from 3516 school‐going adolescents

Vibration analysis of multi-stepped and multi-damaged parabolic arches using GDQ
This paper investigates the in-plane free vibrations of multi-stepped and multi-damaged parabolic arches, for various boundary conditions. The axial extension, transverse shear deformation and rotatory inertia effects are taken into account.

Abstract Characterizing the timing of menarche and the factors that are associated with it is important for understanding a population's reproductive health needs and long‐term health trajectories. We estimated the age at the menstrual onset among adolescent girls and the association between dietary and nutritional factors and menarche in four sub ...

Natural Frequency Response of FG-CNT Coupled Curved Beams in Thermal Conditions
This study investigates the sensitivity of dynamic properties in coupled curved beams reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to thermal variations. Temperature-dependent (TD) mechanical properties are considered for poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) to be
