Examination of Afghanistan's Development Traps
Abstract We examine the factors behind Afghanistan's persistent underdevelopment. Drawing on various theories of development traps operating at the demographic, economic and institutional levels, we seek to assess whether and to what extent their functioning affects Afghanistan's development. To capture the functioning of development traps empirically,

ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full

Operating Characteristics of Plastic Gear Paired with Steel Gear Coated with Solid Lubricant.
By exchanging one of a pair of steel gears for a plastic gear, nonlubricant operation can be realized, and noise can be reduced. However, the plastic gear is greatly abraded by the hard tooth flank of the steel gear. In order to reduce this wear, we investigated the effect of coating on the teeth of the steel gear with a solid lubricant.
