In March 2022, a small stone anchor was discovered on the shore of ‘En Gedi bay (map ref. 237533/595373; Fig. 1) by a member of Kibbutz ‘En Gedi. The find was transferred to archaeologist Gideon Hadas, member of Kibbutz ‘En Gedi, who has published similar anchors in the past, and the IAA subdistrict archaeologist Davida Eisenberg-Degen was notified.
