Spectroscopic Investigation of Synthetic Martian Analog Mineral Mixtures Relevant to Gale and Jezero Craters Exploration

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 12, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract We produced several mineral mixtures and measured their reflectance in the VNIR range (350–2,500 nm) with the aim of reproducing the spectral features observed by the rovers Perseverance and Curiosity in the Jezero and Gale Crater respectively.

Turkish Parties’ Positions towards the EU: between Europhilia and Europhobia [PDF]

open access: yesRomanian Journal of European Affairs, 2010
This research is a case study meant to find out whether the arguments put forward by Szczerbiak and Taggart analyzing Euroscepticism in the party systems of the EU candidate states of Central and Eastern Europe hold true for party-based Euroscepticism in

A water balance model based on budyko framework and its calibration through particle swarm optimization algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Sunulan çalışmada, aylık yağış-akış ilişkisini tanımlamak amacıyla Budyko yaklaşımına dayanan bir su bütçesi modeli kullanılmıştır. Önerilen beş parametreli model girdi olarak sadece aylık ortalama yağış ve potansiyel evapotranspirasyon verilerine ...

Analysing Temporal Variations in Radon Concentrations: Identifying Trends and Changes

open access: yesTerra Nova, Volume 37, Issue 4, Page 263-274, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Radon is a well‐known precursor for geodynamic events such as earthquakes and volcanic tremors. Radon concentration variations in soil gas have been monitored worldwide, and extreme radon values have been identified as radon anomalies associated with geodynamic events.

A Burial History of the Sedimentary Succession Preserved in Aeolis Mons, as Recorded by Fracture Networks at Maria Gordon Notch, Gale Crater, Mars

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract Fractures in sedimentary rocks preserved within Gale crater record the deformational and burial history of the sediment infill. Fracture geometries and morphology can be used to time other geologic events, such as: compaction, diagenesis, fluid migration, geochemistry, and broader tectonic stresses within a basin.

N-3 fatty acid supplementation mediates lipid profile, including small dense LDL, when combined with statins: a randomized double blind placebo controlled trial

open access: yesLipids in Health and Disease, 2022
Background Epidemiological and clinical evidence suggests that high-dose intake of omega 3 fatty acids (n-3 FA) have a favorable role in altering serum triglycerides (TG) and non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) when combined with statins

Development of G–Ag and C–Ag Nanoparticle‐Based Biosensor for Benzoic Acid Detection

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2025.
This study investigates an electrochemical sensor for the highly sensitive detection of benzoic acid on a glassy carbon electrode using silver nanoparticles produced by green synthesis (G–Ag) and chemical synthesis (C–Ag) methods. This study shows that the nanoparticles obtained through biological synthesis are as effective as those synthesized by the ...

Paleo‐Scours Within the Layered Sulfate‐Bearing Unit at Gale Crater, Mars: Evidence for Intense Wind Erosion

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 5, May 2025.
Abstract The surface of modern Mars is largely shaped by wind, but the influence of past wind activity is less well constrained. Sedimentary rocks exposed in the lower foothills of Aeolis Mons, the central mound within Gale crater, record a transition from predominantly lacustrine deposition in the Murray formation to aeolian deposition in the Mirador ...

Evaluating the applicability of a 2D weighted compact gravity inversion method for determining crustal undulations and thicknesses in the Aegean region

open access: yesGeophysical Prospecting, Volume 73, Issue 4, Page 1243-1254, May 2025.
Abstract This study introduces the application of the 2D weighted compact gravity inversion technique to model crustal thickness and intracrustal discontinuities in the Aegean region, encompassing both marine and terrestrial areas over a significant area of 430 km × 333 km.
