Factor analysis in the geochemical studies along the Gediz river, Turkey
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2001Water samples collected from 321 sampling points at 1 km intervalsat a site located close to the industrial and geological areas in the Gedizriver were analysed for U, Ra, Na, Mg, Mn, K, Ni, Cd, Co, Pb, Al, Fe, Cr,Zn, Cu and Ca. Heavy metal concentrations in the samples were determined byatomic absorption spectroscopy, laser excited fluorescence, and ...

HEAVY METAL ANALYSIS OF THE GEDIZ RIVER, TURKEY
2019This paper drives the mathematical discussion of heavy metals level of As, Pb, Cd, Ni, Cu, Co and Cr in the samples collected from the Gediz Delta. In 2006, several scientists from Ege University Faculty of Fisheries declared the data of eight different stations belonging to the basin to observe the natural and anthropogenic effect in the sediment of ...

R-mode factor analysis applied to the exploration of radioactivity in the Gediz River
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 1999Sediment samples were collected from the river bed at 10 km intervals and have been analysed for eU, eTh, %K,226Ra, Ca, Ti, Mn, Zn, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Ba, La and Ce. R-mode factor analysis was used to describe the relationship among 15 remotely sensed and geochemical data sets (variables) for the Gediz River.

Radioactivity in soils and various foodstuffs from the Gediz River Basin of Turkey
Radiation Measurements, 2007Abstract The aim of this study is to determine the enhancement in natural radioactivity level of soils due to the usage of fertilizers, particularly phosphate fertilizers in agricultural lands of Gediz River basin, Western Turkey. In addition, the activity concentrations of naturally occurring radionuclides in some vegetables collected from the same ...

Assesment of the hydrologic effects of climate change in the Gediz River basin

An approach towards the formation of Gediz River basin management plan.
2015Dünya nüfusunun hızla artması, kentleşme, sanayileşme ve tarımsal alanlarda bilinçsiz aşırı ilaç ve gübre kullanımının beraberinde getirdiği çevre kirliliği, su kaynaklarının kalitesini bozmuş ve su kaynakları adeta atıkların boşaltıldığı alıcı ortamlar haline dönüşmüştür.
