Geese

Proceedings of the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference, 2018
Animals such as bees, ants, birds, fish, and others are able to perform complex coordinated tasks like foraging, nest-selection, flocking and escaping predators efficiently without centralized control or coordination. Conventionally, mimicking these behaviors with robots requires researchers to study actual behaviors, derive mathematical models, and ...

White Geese Intermediate between Ross' Geese and Lesser Snow Geese

The Auk, 1971
THIS paper describes white geese with morphological characteristics intermediate between the Ross' Goose (Chen rossii) and the Lesser Snow Goose (Chen hyperborea hyperborea). Although the parentage of these intermediate white geese is unknown, they apparently represent the hybridization of Ross' Geese and Lesser Snow Geese in the wild. Johnsgard (1960)

Acetaminophen pharmacokinetics in geese

Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 2022

Geese [PDF]

open access: possible, 2004
Introduction. Geese are one of the most ancient poultry species, domesticated about 3000–2500 B.C. There are currently several different goose production techniques, some of them known from time immemorial: 1) force-feeding for fat liver (Egypt, 2686–2181 B.C.); 2) selection for extremely large body size, exceeding that of modern Toulouse geese (Egypt,
