Conformal string operators and evolution of skewed parton distributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We have investigated skewed parton distributions in coordinate space. We found that their evolution can be described in a simple manner in terms of non-local, conformal operators introduced by Balitsky and Braun.

Quantum algebra approach to q Gegenbauer polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 1995
Quantum algebras provide a natural algebraic setting for \(q\)-special functions. The matrix elements of certain algebra generators in irreducible representations are in fact expressible in terms of \(q\)- hypergeometric series. The author here takes the quantum algebra \({\mathcal U}_q (\text{su} (1,1))\) as example, to show that its metaplectic ...

Gegenbauer polynomials and the Fueter theorem [PDF]

open access: yesComplex Variables and Elliptic Equations, 2013
The Fueter theorem states that regular (resp. monogenic) functions in quaternionic (resp. Clifford) analysis can be constructed from holomorphic functions in the complex plane, hereby using a combination of a formal substitution and the action of an appropriate power of the Laplace operator.

Exponentials rarely maximize Fourier extension inequalities for cones

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract We prove the existence of maximizers and the precompactness of Lp$L^p$‐normalized maximizing sequences modulo symmetries for all valid scale‐invariant Fourier extension inequalities on the cone in R1+d$\mathbb {R}^{1+d}$. In the range for which such inequalities are conjectural, our result is conditional on the boundedness of the extension ...

Oblique Water Wave Diffraction by a Step

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2017
This paper is concerned with the problem of diffraction of an obliquely incident surface water wave train on an obstacle in the form of a finite step.

One-Step Recurrences for Stationary Random Fields on the Sphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Recurrences for positive definite functions in terms of the space dimension have been used in several fields of applications. Such recurrences typically relate to properties of the system of special functions characterizing the geometry of the underlying

Distributed order hantavirus model and its nonstandard discretizations and stability analysis

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 48, Issue 2, Page 2404-2420, 30 January 2025.
It is crucial to understand the effects of deadly viruses on humans in advance. One such virus is the infectious hantavirus. Since the effects of viruses vary under different conditions, this study models the virus using distributed order differential equations.

Construction of the Shifted Modified Gegenbauer Polynomials and Approximation

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This article is concerned with deriving a new system of orthogonal polynomials, derived from the Gegenbauer polynomials, modified by affine transforms in variable, named shifted Gegenbauer polynomials. They appear as solutions of linear differential equation.

Discrete-Time Filter Synthesis using Product of Gegenbauer Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
A new approximation to design continuoustime and discrete-time low-pass filters, presented in this paper, based on the product of Gegenbauer polynomials, provides the ability of more flexible adjustment of passband and stopband responses.

Old and New Identities for Bernoulli Polynomials via Fourier Series

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2012
The Bernoulli polynomials Bk restricted to [0,1) and extended by periodicity have nth sine and cosine Fourier coefficients of the form Ck/nk. In general, the Fourier coefficients of any polynomial restricted to [0,1) are linear combinations of terms of ...
