Improving genomic prediction in wheat with random regression models with genotype-specific phenology-driven environmental covariates. [PDF]
Abstract Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), a crucial cereal crop for global food security, faces growing challenges from climate change. Future production requires varieties that are resilient to environmental extremes and fluctuations. The goal of this study was to assess strategies to increase selection response through genomic selection in wheat by ...

Heavier Alkyne‐Ni0 Complexes, [R2E2·Ni] (E = Sn, Pb), Exhibiting σ‐Complex Character
Using a reductive group elimination strategy, heavier alkyne (LEEL; E = Sn, Pb) complexes of Ni0 are accessed. In contrast to classical alkyne coordination, these systems are best described as σ‐complexes, driven by ligand‐induced constraints and the established poor π‐bonding in heavier alkyne analogues.

A synergistic interface regulation strategy using high‐dielectric BaTiO3 and sulfate‐derived S─O bonds is developed to unlock high‐voltage LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 all‐solid‐state batteries. By mitigating space‐charge layer effects and stabilizing lattice oxygen, the system achieves high‐rate (3 C) and durable operation in 5 V‐class cobalt‐free solid‐state ...

G × EBLUP: A novel method for exploring genotype by environment interactions and genomic prediction
Genotype by environment (G × E) interaction is fundamental in the biology of complex traits and diseases. However, most of the existing methods for genomic prediction tend to ignore G × E interaction (GEI).

Evaluation of wheat genotypes for salinity tolerance under real saline conditions: In situ [PDF]
Salinity is one of the major abiotic stress factors that limit the productivity of crops, including wheat, in many regions of the world. Therefore, the priority in wheat breeding, to ensure global food security, is developing varieties that are adapted ...
