Multiscale Structural Gel Polymer Electrolytes with Fast Li+ Transport for Long‐Life Li Metal Batteries

Advanced Functional Materials, 2022
Li metal batteries (LMBs) are considered as promising candidates for future rechargeable batteries with high energy density. However, Li metal anode (LMA) is extensively sensitive to general liquid electrolytes, leading to unstable interphase and ...

In‐situ Polymerized Gel Polymer Electrolytes with High Room‐Temperature Ionic Conductivity and Regulated Na+ Solvation Structure for Sodium Metal Batteries

Advanced Functional Materials, 2022
Sodium metal batteries (SMBs) are promising candidates for low‐cost but high‐energy energy storage applications. Both long‐term stability and safety of SMBs can be largely enhanced when liquid electrolytes (LEs) are replaced by gel polymer electrolytes ...

Gel Polymer Electrolyte

ECS Transactions, 2014
Gel polymer electrolyte containing immobilized different types of salts (LiPF6, LiBF4, TEABF4) in aprotic solvents (PC, EC:DEC, EC DMC) were prepared by UV polymerization. Electrolytes were optimized to achieve suitable ionic conductivity (up to 7.5 mS/cm) and good mechanical stability.

“Water‐in‐Salt” Nonalkaline Gel Polymer Electrolytes Enable Flexible Zinc‐Air Batteries with Ultra‐Long Operating Time

Advanced Functional Materials, 2022
Solid‐state zinc‐air batteries (ZABs) are regarded as one of the most promising flexible energy storage systems for wearable electronic devices beyond lithium‐ion batteries. Unfortunately, continuous water loss of electrolyte and zinc electrode corrosion

Thermoreversible polymer gel electrolytes

Polymer, 1994
Abstract Thermoreversible polymer gel electrolytes with ionic conductivities in the region of 10−3 S cm−1 (even at −20°C) have been prepared from a variety of commercially available polymers and organic solvents by gel casting from high-temperature solutions at polymer/solvent ratios down to 10 90 .

Proton conducting polymer gel electrolytes

Solid State Ionics, 1999
Abstract Novel proton conducting gel electrolytes from poly(vinylidene fluoride)-dimethylformamide-H 3 PO 4 system are synthesized and characterized by impedance spectroscopy, infra-red spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Highly conducting (5×10 −4 S/cm at 20°C) colorless polymeric membranes are obtained in a relatively narrow ...

Ionic Liquid‐Polymer Gel Electrolytes

Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1997
New rubbery gel electrolytes have been prepared from room temperature ionic liquids and poly(vinylidene fluoride)‐hexafluoropropylene copolymer [PVdF(HFP)]. The ionic liquids employed in these preparations were 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium salts of triflate and .

Poly(acrylic acid)-Based Composite Gel Polymer Electrolytes with High Mechanical Strength and Ionic Conductivity toward Flexible Zinc-Air Batteries with Long Cycling Lifetime.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2022
The rapid development of portable, flexible, and wearable devices motivates the requirement for flexible zinc-air batteries (FZABs) not only to provide high energy density but also to have sufficient deformability for wearer comfort.

Polymer gel electrolytes for electrochromic devices

Electrochimica Acta, 1999
Abstract Elastic and sticky polymer gel electrolytes were prepared by polymerisation of methacrylate resin to which solutions, containing LiBF 4 and [(C 2 H 5 ) 4 N]BF 4 in various ratios in PC, were added, keeping the ionic strength constant. A concentration cell containing two polymer samples and two equal LiHg x electrodes was used for the ...
