Primary Mapping and Analysis of the CmARM14 Candidate Gene for Mature Fruit Abscission in Melon
Mature fruit abscission (MFA) is an important trait in terms of both harvest and yield. MFA can affect the production and economic value of melon fruit.

Statistical Depth based Normalization and Outlier Detection of Gene Expression Data [PDF]
Normalization and outlier detection belong to the preprocessing of gene expression data. We propose a natural normalization procedure based on statistical data depth which normalizes to the distribution of gene expressions of the most representative gene expression of the group.

The dual nature of TDC – bridging dendritic and T cells in immunity
TDC are hematopoietic cells combining dendritic and T cell features. They reach secondary lymphoid organs (SLOs) and peripheral organs (liver and lungs) after FLT3‐dependent development in the bone marrow and maturation in the thymus. TDC are activated and enriched in SLOs upon viral infection, suggesting that they might play unique immune roles, since

In vivo IL‐10 produced by tissue‐resident tolDC is involved in maintaining/inducing tolerance. Depending on the agent used for ex vivo tolDC generation, cells acquire common features but prime T cells towards anergy, FOXP3+ Tregs, or Tr1 cells according to the levels of IL‐10 produced. Ex vivo‐induced tolDC were administered to patients to re‐establish/

Gray voles belong to the Arvicolidae family and, together with mouse and rat, to the vast Muroidea superfamily. All representatives of the genus Microtus look quite similar; a nonspecialist can see hardly any differences between them, except perhaps their slight variations in size and fur color.

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

Most efforts to map the genomes of birds have concentrated almost exclusively on the domesticated chicken (Gallus gallus) and on very few other species. Two reasons for this bias are the importance of chicken as a major source of meat and egg products and as a model of vertebrate development.

A higher resolution radiation hybrid map of bovine chromosome 13
In this paper, we present a radiation hybrid framework map of BTA13 composed of nine microsatellite loci, six genes and one EST. The map has been developed using a recently constructed 12'000 rad bovine-hamster whole-genome radiation hybrid panel ...

Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...
