Deciphering gene expression regulatory networks
Current Opinion in Genetics & Development, 2002In the past year, great strides have been made in our understanding of the regulatory networks that control gene expression in the model eukaryote Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The development and use of a number of genomic tools, including genome-wide location and expression analysis, has fueled this progress.

Two gene regulatory networks inferred from different types of data are considered in this chapter. Gene expression networks are networks inferred from microarray time series data and transcription factor networks are networks obtained from a new genome-wide technique that allows an identification of all of the DNA binding sites for each transcription ...

Proceedings of the 10th annual conference on Genetic and evolutionary computation, 2008
This paper proposes a new approach for biologically inspired computing on the basis of Gene Regulatory Networks. These networks are models of genes and dynamic interactions that take place between them. The differential equation representations of such networks resemble neural networks as well as idiotypic networks in immune system.

Estimation of Gene Regulatory Networks
Postdoc Journal, 2013Complex gene regulatory networks, not individual genes, control cellular function. Genes and gene products act together to determine cellular phenotypes. Estimation of these networks is necessary to understand cellular mechanisms, detect differences in gene regulation between cell types, and predict cellular response to interventions.

Gene Regulatory Network Inference
2021Transcriptomic data quantifying gene expression states for single cells or cell populations at a genomic level is now readily available. Changes in transcriptional state during cell development and function are governed by gene regulatory networks, comprising a collection of genes and regulatory interactions between these genes (or gene products ...
