Abstract We introduce new function spaces LW,sq,p(Rn)$\mathcal {L}_{W,s}^{q,p}(\mathbb {R}^{n})$ that yield a natural reformulation of the ℓqLp$\ell ^{q}L^{p}$ decoupling inequalities for the sphere and the light cone.
