Proximity‐Tuned Magnetic and Transport Anomalies in All‐Epitaxial Fe5−xGeTe2/WSe2 Van der Waals Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
All‐epitaxial and scalable ferromagnetic/non‐magnetic Fe5−xGeTe2/WSe2 van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures exhibiting room‐temperature magnetism and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) are realized. The system displays proximity‐tuned magnetic anisotropy, thickness‐dependent unconventional Hall effects, and temperature‐dependent sign reversal of ...

In Situ Interfacial Assembly of Dynamic Semi‐Interpenetrating Biopolymer Networks for Robust and Mechanically Adaptive Droplet Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dynamic interfacial semi‐interpenetrating polymer network is constructed by sequential assembly of β‐sheet‐rich SF and CS‐RL. The SF framework provides mechanical strength, while dynamically associated CS‐RL enables local rearrangement, allowing droplets to rapidly reconfigure without loss of interfacial integrity.

Tantalum–Palladium Ultrathin Resistance Hydrogen Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoconfined Ta‐alloy thin films enable fast, reversible hydrogen sensing by suppressing unwanted phase transitions. A Ta0.88${\rm Ta}_{0.88}$Pd0.12${\rm Pd}_{0.12}$ sensing layer delivers hysteresis‐free detection from ppb to 100% H2${\rm H}_2$ at room temperature.

General Data Protection Regulation

2023
The General Data Protection Regulation has established a uniform European data protection law. The member states must directly apply European law standards and question their own interpretation criteria. The new major commentary on the GDPR is written by leading European lawyers who have extensively analysed the European and transnational academic ...

General data protection regulation — Protection of personal data in an organisation

2018 41st International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2018
Personal data represent all data (identifiers) relating to an identified individual. Identifiers can include first name and last name, network IP address, MAC address, GPS location, telephone number, personal ID, biometric data and other relevant data in connection with personal identity.

A Conceptual Model for the General Data Protection Regulation

2021
The widespread diffusion of Cloud paradigm and its approach based on delegation of resources to service providers, improved greatly the need of protecting personal data. Accordingly, in recent years, governments are going to define and apply new rules, that aims at protecting the personal space of each individual.

The General Data Protection Regulation and Log Pseudonymization

2021
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) demands the use of various protection levels to ensure that personal data meet information security requirements. One of the techniques the GDPR recommends to protect personal data is pseudonymization, which consists of replacing real data with pseudonyms.

The new General Data Protection Regulation: Still a sound system for the protection of individuals? [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Law and Security Review, 2016
The five-year wait is finally over; a few days before expiration of 2015 the “trilogue” that had started a few months earlier between the Commission, the Council and the Parlia- ment suddenly bore fruit and the EU data protection reform package has finally been concluded. As planned since the beginning of this effort a Regulation, the General Data Pro-

BVA's guidance on the General Data Protection Regulation

Veterinary Record, 2018
It was with a mounting sense of dismay that I read the recently published BVA’s guidance on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the accompanying checklist, which can be found on the BVA’s website. The checklist, in particular, seems to go against the, in my opinion very level headed, article by Claire Read ‘What …
