On the resummation of series of fuzzy numbers via generalized Dirichlet and generalized factorial series [PDF]
We introduce semicontinuous summation methods for series of fuzzy numbers and give Tauberian conditions under which summation of a series of fuzzy numbers via generalized Dirichlet series and via generalized factorial series implies its convergence.

Comparison of modelling approaches for liquid fluidized beds
Abstract This study presents a comparison of three promising numerical models for the detailed simulation of liquid–solid fluidized bed. These models differ in their treatment of the solid phase, ranging from treating each particle individually to treating the collection of particles as a continuum.

Mine‐water immersion tests reveal pronounced coal weakening (vs. minor concrete degradation), identifying coal pillars as the stability‐limiting component in composite dams. A coupled FEINN framework quantifies extreme‐pressure stability and ranks multi‐parameter designs via a normalized multi‐indicator scheme, enabling optimized dam configuration for ...

Numerical Investigation of Methane Transport Within and Around Evolving Cracks
A validated model shows that natural gas leakage induces soil deformation and forms three key cracks. When diffusion is low, methane moves mainly along the primary crack, demonstrating how natural fractures reshape pathways and significantly enhance methane migration.

Charged quantum fields in AdS$_2$
We consider quantum field theory near the horizon of an extreme Kerr black hole. In this limit, the dynamics is well approximated by a tower of electrically charged fields propagating in an $SL(2,\mathbb{R})$ invariant AdS$_2$ geometry endowed with a ...

On generalized Dirichlet series
Dirichlet series, or, series of the form D(A, s) = ∞ i=1 a i i s are central objects in complex analysis and analytic number theory. This paper seeks to generalize them by introducing & studying new types of Dirichlet series-quaternionic Dirichlet series, and lattice Dirichlet series.

Immersed Boundary Projection Method for Boundaries With Slip Velocities
A formulation of the immersed boundary method for incompressible flow over arbitrarily‐shaped bodies with surface slip described by the Navier boundary condition is presented. The wall slip velocity and the boundary force are determined implicitly through a projection to satisfy both the boundary condition and the divergence‐free condition of the ...

Green's functions and existence of solutions of nonlinear fractional implicit difference equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions [PDF]
This article is devoted to deduce the expression of the Green's function related to a general constant coefficients fractional difference equation coupled to Dirichlet conditions. In this case, due to the points where some of the fractional operators are
