Linear Hypergraph List Edge Coloring - Generalizations of the EFL Conjecture to List Coloring
Motivated by the Erdős-Faber-Lovász (EFL) conjecture for hypergraphs, we consider the list edge coloring of linear hypergraphs. We discuss several conjectures for list edge coloring linear hypergraphs that generalize both EFL and Vizing's theorem for graphs.

Objective Obesity, defined by body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2, is a risk factor for functional limitations in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). However, function varies among such individuals. Our objective was to evaluate the implications of obesity subtypes on longitudinal patterns of physical functioning in people with or at risk for knee OA ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Star edge coloring of generalized Petersen graphs
The star chromatic index of a graph $G$, denoted by $χ^\prime_s(G)$, is the smallest integer $k$ for which $G$ admits a proper edge coloring with $k$ colors such that every path and cycle of length four is not bicolored. Let $d$ be the greatest common divisor of $n$ and $k$. Zhu~et~al. (\footnotesize{Discussiones Mathematicae: Graph Theory, 41(2): 1265,
