A Hybrid Mean Value Involving Dedekind Sums and the Generalized Kloosterman Sums

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
In this paper, we use the mean value theorem of Dirichlet L-functions and the properties of Gauss sums and Dedekind sums to study the hybrid mean value problem involving Dedekind sums and the general Kloosterman sums and give an interesting identity for ...

Some Identities Involving Certain Hardy Sums and General Kloosterman Sums [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Using the properties of Gauss sums, the orthogonality relation of character sum and the mean value of Dirichlet L-function, we obtain some exact computational formulas for the hybrid mean value involving general Kloosterman sums K ( r , l , λ ...

On the first power mean of L-functions with the weight of general Kloosterman sums [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
The main purpose of this paper is using the estimates for character sums and the analytic method to study the first power mean of Dirichlet L-functions with the weight of general Kloosterman sums, and give an interesting asymptotic formula.

On general partial Gaussian sums

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
Let q ≥ 2 $q\geq2$ be a fixed integer, A = A ( q ) ≤ q $A=A(q)\leq q$ , B = B ( q ) ≤ q $B=B(q)\leq q$ , and H = H ( q ) ≤ q $H=H(q)\leq q$ . Define ħ ( A , B , H ) = { a ∈ Z ∣ ( a , q ) = 1 , a b ≡ 1 ( mod q ) , 1 ≤ a ≤ A , 1 ≤ b ≤ B , | a − b | ≤ H } .

A Test of the Coase Conjecture Using Prices of Electronic Books

open access: yesSouthern Economic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Coase Conjecture predicts that a durable‐goods monopolist without commitment will rapidly cut price toward marginal cost. We test this prediction in the electronic‐book market using release‐day prices. To proxy for marginal cost, we use competitive prices of public‐domain electronic books on the same platforms.

Understanding organizational–professional conflict: The effects of organizational controls and professional field strength

open access: yesEuropean Management Review, EarlyView.
Abstract Organizational–professional conflict (OPC) occurs when organizations encourage professionals such as doctors, accountants, and lawyers to behave in ways that are not consistent with their professional norms. This may lead to unethical behavior, while it also reduces job satisfaction and increases turnover intentions.

Does financial knowledge affect borrower discouragement among various social categories? Evidence from the United States

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Affairs, EarlyView.
Abstract A deficiency in financial knowledge often precipitates costly financial choices, affecting consumers' behavior and decision‐making. We delve into how financial acumen influences borrower discouragement by utilizing data from the U.S. Federal Reserve's Survey of Household Economics and Decision‐Making (2017–2022). Discouraged borrower describes

How to Match Cognitive Model Predictions With EEG Data

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Reliably identifying relevant brain areas implicated by the simulated activity from cognitive models is still an unsolved problem for cognitive modeling, particularly when matching model output with human electroencephalography (EEG) data. We propose a new method involving postprocessing of ACT‐R module activity and clustered EEG component ...

Unpacking the Black Box of Networks in Immigrant Entrepreneurship: A Systematic Literature Review and Future Research Agenda

open access: yesGlobal Networks, Volume 26, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT With the rising number of migrations in the last few decades, immigrant entrepreneurship has increasingly attracted scholarly and policy attention globally. Yet, the nature and role of a crucial resource for immigrant entrepreneurs (IEs)—networks—have not been organized systematically. This paper systematically reviews and synthesizes existing
