Survival Analysis, Mortality Rate and Generalized Linear Models (GLM) with Failures (Application Study

IRAQI JOURNAL OF STATISTICAL SCIENCES
The number of failures of the first type is counted for each of a series of n time intervals, whereas the number of failures of the second type is only determined for the entire period. This theoretical framework is offered for the analysis of survival data when two forms of failure occur.

Recovery of southern mountain caribou habitat following wildfire in Ulkatcho territory, British Columbia, Canada

Caribou forage lichens were present in post‐burn lodgepole pine stands multiple decades before stem‐density was likely open enough to attract wintering caribou. We posit that the prolonged self‐thinning of lodgepole pine after fire may be a greater limiting factor than lichen abundance for habitat recovery in lodgepole pine forests.
