Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Superadditivity, Monotonicity, and Exponential Convexity of the Petrović-Type Functionals
We consider functionals derived from Petrović-type inequalities and establish their superadditivity, subadditivity, and monotonicity properties on the corresponding real n-tuples.

The maximum principle with lack of monotonicity
We establish a maximum principle for the weighted $(p,q)$-Laplacian, which extends the general Pucci–Serrin strong maximum principle to this quasilinear abstract setting.

Tailoring Functional Properties of Ti–Ni–Cu Shape Memory Alloy Thin Films for MEMS Actuators
A comprehensive study of critical parameters required to develop well‐performing Ti–Ni–Cu thin film shape memory alloy microactuators is provided. Materials science and device integration aspects are integrated by addressing structural and physical relationships using complementary characterization techniques as well as a practical fabrication solution

Generalized frameworks for first-order evolution inclusions based on Yosida approximations
First, general frameworks for the first-order evolution inclusions are developed based on the A-maximal relaxed monotonicity, and then using the Yosida approximation the solvability of a general class of first-order nonlinear evolution inclusions is ...

Existence theory for nonlinear functional boundary value problems
In this paper the existence of a solution of a general nonlinear functional two point boundary value problem is proved under mixed generalized Lipschitz and Carath\'eodory conditions.

Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

Regularization and iterative method for general variational inequality problem in hilbert spaces
Without the strong monotonicity assumption of the mapping, we provide a regularization method for general variational inequality problem, when its solution set is related to a solution set of an inverse strongly monotone mapping.
