Adapting the Interrelated Two-way Clustering method for Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) Modeling of a Diverse Set of Chemical Compounds

open access: yes, 2013
Interrelated Two-way Clustering (ITC) is an unsupervised clustering method developed to divide samples into two groups in gene expression data obtained through microarrays, selecting important genes simultaneously in the process.

Structural transition in interdependent networks with regular interconnections [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Networks are often made up of several layers that exhibit diverse degrees of interdependencies. A multilayer interdependent network consists of a set of graphs $G$ that are interconnected through a weighted interconnection matrix $ B $, where the weight ...

Character decomposition of Potts model partition functions. II. Toroidal geometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We extend our combinatorial approach of decomposing the partition function of the Potts model on finite two-dimensional lattices of size L x N to the case of toroidal boundary conditions. The elementary quantities in this decomposition are characters K\_{

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Downlink Analysis for a Heterogeneous Cellular Network

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, a comprehensive study of the the downlink performance in a heterogeneous cellular network (or hetnet) is conducted. A general hetnet model is considered consisting of an arbitrary number of open-access and closed-access tier of base ...

Faster Worst Case Deterministic Dynamic Connectivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present a deterministic dynamic connectivity data structure for undirected graphs with worst case update time $O\left(\sqrt{\frac{n(\log\log n)^2}{\log n}}\right)$ and constant query time.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

On Some Properties of Fuzzy Topological Indices of Honeycomb Graph

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
The primary contribution of this paper is the characterization of a novel graph structure, the fuzzy honeycomb network, through the lens of fuzzy molecular descriptors.
