Heterotropic regulation and negative homotropic cooperativity
We identified a structural module common to some proteins that couple negative cooperativity with heterotropic regulation, two features that rarely coexist. These proteins are ring‐like and present an ordered asymmetry whereby noncontacting subunits are symmetric, and their tertiary structure differs from that of contacting subunits.

LINE: Loop Integrals Numerical Evaluation
We present methods for the numerical evaluation of the master integrals that arise in the calculation of scattering amplitudes at higher order in perturbative quantum field theory.

Parametric interaction of modes in the presence of quadratic or cubic nonlinearity [PDF]
The purpose of this work is a study of the dynamics of the systems of ordinary differential equations of the second order, which is obtained using the Lagrange formalism.

Mathematical model of brush seals for gas turbine engines: A nonlinear analytical solution
Presented herein is a mathematical model employing differential equations formulation for brush seals used in gas turbine engines. These components are used to seal the bearing chamber from the environment and reduce the loss of lubricant in the ...

Functional screening identified PcSyn14890, a cyanobacteria‐specific protein that enhances growth and stress resistance in E. coli and Synechocystis PCC6803. Although we expected it to function as a molecular chaperone, it was unable to protect against thermal aggregation of GAPDH.

Self-similar gravitational dynamics, singularities and criticality in 2D
We initiate a systematic study of continuously self-similar (CSS) gravitational dynamics in two dimensions, motivated by critical phenomena observed in higher dimensional gravitational theories.

Sertraline Treatment Can Mimic Niemann‐Pick Type C Biomarker Profile: A Diagnostic Pitfall
ABSTRACT Background Oxysterols (cholestane‐3β,5α,6β‐triol and 7‐ketocholesterol) and N‐palmitoyl‐O‐phosphocholineserine (PPCS) are sensitive biomarkers for Niemann‐Pick disease type C (NPC) screening. However, false‐positive results occur, with a biomarker profile suggestive of NPC despite the absence of pathogenic variants in genes involved in NPC or ...

Some problems in irregular ordinary differential equations [PDF]
We study the non-autonomous ordinary differential equation x = f (t, x) in the situation when the vector field f is of limited regularity, typically belonging to a space LP (O,T; Lq (JRn)).

Neurologic Manifestations of Long COVID Affect Adult Females More Severely Than Males
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize differences in neurologic manifestations of postacute sequelae of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection (Neuro‐PASC) between females and males. Methods Cross‐sectional study of the first consecutive 261 posthospitalization Neuro‐PASC (PNP) and 2068 nonhospitalized Neuro‐PASC (NNP) patients evaluated at the Neuro‐COVID clinic between ...
