Generalization of Bessel and hypergeometric functions

In the present paper the author obtains a generating formula involving a modified Bessel function and a Gegenbauer polynomial. Some connections with the dihedral groups \(D_n\), with \(n=4,6\) and \(n\) odd are also given.
