Locally-generic Boolean algebras and cardinal sequences

Algebra Universalis, 2002
Given a sequence of cardinals \(\theta \) of length less than \(\omega _{2}\), with each cardinal in the sequence being either \(\omega \) or \(\omega _{1}\), the author constructs a \(\theta \)-poset which, with a natural topology, becomes a locally compact Hausdorff scattered space with cardinal sequence \(\theta \). The algebra of the clopen subsets

Preconcept Algebras and Generalized Double Boolean Algebras

2004
Boolean Concept Logic as an integrated generalization of Contextual Object Logic and Contextual Attribute Logic can be substantially developed on the basis of preconcept algebras. The main results reported in this paper are the Basic Theorem on Preconcept Algebras and the Theorem characterizing the equational class generated by all preconcept algebras ...

Boolean Algebras with Distinguished Endomorphisms and Generating Trees

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2016
Summary: We characterize computable Boolean algebras with distinguished endomorphisms in terms of generating trees and mappings of these trees. We show that every degree spectrum of a countable family of subsets of \(\omega\) is the degree spectrum of some natural enrichment of a Boolean algebra.

Boolean Algebras, Generalized Abelian Rings, and Grothendieck Groups

Communications in Algebra, 2006
A ring R is called generalized Abelian if for each idempotent e in R, eR and (1 − e)R have no isomorphic nonzero summands.

Some remarks on openly generated Boolean algebras

Journal of Symbolic Logic, 1994
AbstractA Boolean algebra B is said to be openly generated if {A : A ≤rcB, ∣A∣ = ℵ0} includes a club subset of . We show:(V = L). For any cardinal κ there exists an L∞κ-free Boolean algebra which is not openly generated (Proposition 4.1).(MA+(σ-closed)).

Chapter 20 Generally constructive boolean algebras

1998
Publisher Summary This chapter gives an overview on generally constructive Boolean algebras. Countable Boolean algebras are traditionally considered a convenient playground for constructive model theory. The chapter examines the arithmetic Boolean algebras, that is, Boolean algebras that admit a numeration with arithmetic numeration equivalence ...

Operator algebras generated by Boolean algebras of projections in Montel spaces

Integral Equations and Operator Theory, 1989
In this note the author extends (versions of) Bade's theorem (cf. the previous review) to certain classes of locally convex spaces, among them Montel spaces and nuclear spaces.
