We study the linear stability of Plane Poiseuille flow of an elastoviscoplastic fluid using a revised version of the model proposed by Putz and Burghelea (Rheol. Acta (2009)48:673-689).

Similar preforms are manufactured for both the permeability tests and vacuum infusion. The microstructure of the vacuum infused sample is analysed in the filament length scale under different levels of compaction. Comparison of the experimental and numerical results, where the latter are derived from the filament distribution statistics, shows a good ...

This work experimentally determines viscosity of photopolymer and spherical glass microparticles (filler) as a function of filler fraction, filler size distribution, and shear rate. Employing existing viscosity models for mono‐ and polydisperse polymer mixtures demonstrates that particle–particle interactions and the formation of nonspherical clusters ...

Digital visualization in graduate transport phenomena
Abstract The use of contour flood plots and color digital movies is investigated for teaching fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer at the first‐year graduate student level. The color visualizations are intended to not only stimulate curiosity but also encourage enthusiasm and determination in learning difficult material.

Entropy Generation in a Rotating Couette Flow with Suction/Injection
The present paper is concerned with an analytical study of entropy generation in viscous incompressible Couette flow with suction/injection in a rotating frame of reference. One of the plate is held at rest and the other one moves with an uniform velocity. The flow induced by the moving plate.

Couette-Poiseuille flow with partial slip and uniform cross flow for power-law fluids
Exact solutions are obtained for the steady flow of a power-law fluid between parallel plates with partial slip conditions and uniform cross flow. The problem is properly formulated and similarities are exploited.

Generalized Couette Flow of a Third-Grade Fluid with Slip: The Exact Solutions
The present note investigates the influence of slip on the generalized Couette flows of a third-grade fluid. Two flow problems are considered. The resulting equations and the boundary conditions are nonlinear.
